1. During quiet breathing, observe the movement of your ribcage as you inhale and exhale. Describe what you feel happening during inhalation, and then describe what you feel happening during exhalation.

2. Change from quiet breathing to deep breathing. Describe what you feel that is different during inhalation for deep breathing compared to quiet breathing. Do the same for exhalation.

3. Stand up and place your hand on your stomach and take a deep breath in. Describe what you feel in the abdominal region during deep inspiration.

4. In a standing or seated position, bend over and reach your hands to your feet. Again, take a deep breath in. Describe what you feel while deep breathing in this position compared to the upright position.
