Federal courts differ from the executive and legislative branches of government because they are:
- A part of the judiciary
There are three arms of government which are the:
- Executive
- Legislature
- Judiciary
The functions of the Executive arm is to enforce the law
The functions of the Legislative arm is to write the law
The functions of the Judicial arm is to interpret the law
As a result of this, a federal court is a part of the judiciary as they interpret the law and punish offenders.
