Immunological memory accounts for the ancient observation that someone who had recovered from the plague could safely care for those newly diseased. Immunological memory is a property of the immune system to recognize the pathogen (antigen) that the body has previously encountered. As a result, immune system corresponds by inducing immune response via memory T and B cells.
