How can I solve this:
[tex]a(3x {}^{2} + 2x + 1) = 4x - 6x {}^{2} - 4[/tex]
to get :
[tex]x1 + x2 = - 6[/tex]

The Sum of Roots is -6

Manipulate the Equation to Get :

[tex](3a + 6) {x}^{2} + (2a - 4)x + (a + 4) = 0[/tex]

Now, by Viete,

[tex] - 6 = \frac{(4 - 2a)}{(3a + 6)} [/tex]

[tex]18a + 36 = 2a - 4[/tex]

[tex]16a = - 40[/tex]

[tex] = > a = \frac{ - 5}{2} = - 2.5[/tex]
