[tex]( x + (x - 9)) \times 2 = 70 \\( 2x - 9) \times2= 70 \\ 4x - 18 = 70 \\ 4x = 70 + 18 = 88[/tex]
[tex]x = \frac{88}{4} = 22[/tex]
the length is 22

and the width is
22-9=17
