you would set it up as a ratio..( if it is 1.4 cups not 14  cups)

1.4 sugar / 12 juice  =  x sugar / 3 juice

then cross multiply and divide.

1.4 x 3 divided by 12  = .35 cups   which equals 2.1 teaspoons
