If an experienced surveyor can survey a roadbed in 7 hours and an apprentice surveyor needs 10 hours, how long will it take them to complete the job together

experienced: I hour, 1/7 done
apprentice: 1 hour, 1/10 done

together: 1 hour, 10/70 + 7/70 = 17/70 done
Therefore...
1 / 17/70 = 4.1176 hours (70/17 hours)
