These paragraphs from Walden reflect his Transcendentalist beliefs because C) He believed that he didn't need possessions in order to be rich.  Thoreau tells his two years experience in Walden Pond and the benefits of a simplified lifestyle. Thoreau says that devoting time to acquiring things implies the loss of inner freedom. He identifies only four basic necessities which are food, shelter, clothing, and fuel, the things nature doesn't provide.
