Respuesta :

theres common denomintor is 12 so it would be 10/12 and 9/12

Answer: He needs more strawberries than banana.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of cups of mashed bananas is given by

[tex]\frac{5}{6}[/tex]

Number of cups of mashed strawberries is given by

[tex]\frac{3}{4}[/tex]

We need to find whether he needs more bananas or more strawberries.

For this we need a common denominator.

1) Taking L.C.M.  of denominator :

L.C.M. OF 6  and 4 = 12

2) Make the common denominator i.e. 12 for both the fractions.

[tex]\frac{5}{6}\times \frac{2}{2}=\frac{5\times 2}{6\times 2}=\frac{10}{12}\\\\and\\\\\frac{3}{4}\times \frac{3}{3}=\frac{3\times 3}{4\times 3}=\frac{9}{12}[/tex]

so, we can see that

[tex]\frac{10}{12}>\frac{9}{12}[/tex]

He needs more strawberries than banana.
