The nursing theory that the healthcare team abides by is the Transcultural Nursing Theory (or Culture Care Theory). It was developed by Madeleine Leininger and it turns its focus on knowing and respecting different cultures in relation to health-illness caring practices. Since each culture has different beliefs and caring behaviours, the healthcare team should respect and adapt their standard practices to that.
