Briggs focused on several things in order to cause doubt in terms of the veracity of Wendell Bolden's testimony. First, Briggs brought to the attention of the court that Bolden was arrested for Breaking and Entering. Briggs attempted to show that Bolden was not trustworthy due to this act. Also, Briggs elicited the fact that Bolden wanted to get out of jail at a time that he was being asked for his testimony.
