Well most teens like to be popular.They don't wanna be made fun of or picked on.So they will most likely do what they see other cool people doing,or what they expect will make them be liked.So their friends are a big influence on what they do,what sexuality they choose and everything else along that line.

Well, in most cases, ones sexuality is usually decided on their own as they may feel more attracted to one gender than the other.

However, in some cases, teens may feel obliged to lie about their own sexuality just to fit in with the others. Some teens do not feel comfortable coming out of the closet due to peer pressure of liking one gender. They may feel extremely uncomfortable wanting to express who they are because of all the pressure put on them to be a certain way.

Another scenario may be, due to current controversial topics, teens may want to seek attention from other peers. Their reasons for doing so may be to draw a certain peer's attention, or to just try an stand out. Reasons for doing so depend on the teenager.
