A lifeguard earns $10.80 an hour for a 40-hour week 1 1/2and times his base pay for every hour worked over the first 40 hours. If he works a 46-hour week, how much is the lifeguard’s pay for the week?

10.8 * 0.5 = 5.4
10.8 + 5.4 = 16.2

so 10.80 * 40 = 432
and 16.20 * 6 = 97.20
432 + 97.20 = $529.20
