During
presidential election years, the nation's first caucus is held in Iowa and the
first primary election is held in New Hampshire. These are the places that are
given the privileges to be the first to have the first caucus for Iowa and
first primary election for New Hampshire. New Hampshire was considered to have
disproportionate power because of this privilege.
