There are several ways that Lucas can apply the SPORT principles to get into shape. When Lucas is training to get in shape for the competition, he can use SPORT to determine the frequency of his training. This doesn't include how many times he can train, but also how to space out his training. He can also use SPORT to determine the type of training and the intensity of his paddleboard training. SPORT training is more for a short term use, FITT is used in training for general sports such as strength training regimens. SPORT is based on specificity, reversibilty, overload, tedium, and progression.
