To convert a mixed fraction an improper fraction, you need to know the following rules:
[tex]10 \frac{3}{4}[/tex]
Multiply 10 and 4, and then add 3 to it.
[tex]10*4=40[/tex]
[tex]40+3=43[/tex]
Improper fraction = [tex] \frac{43}{4} [/tex]
