Respuesta :

Which picture shows straining  I think it's B F D
False, the answer is B, C, F
Straining or filtering is a method to separate bigger things using a smaller hole to filter it. In picture B and F, the spaghetti and tea leaves are separated from water by using a filter with a smaller hole than the spaghetti or tea leaves. The filter for spaghetti won't works for tea leaves as the filter hole is bigger than tea leaves. The same principle work with filter paper on picture C. The paper also has holes, but it too small for you to see.

Which picture shows filter paper being used I think C
True, The filter paper is used to filter a solution from it solvent, which probably water. The picture C is correct because you try to separate the muddy water into clear water. Picture F is also filtering but not using paper.

Which picture shows pieces of iron being separated I think E
True, It should be E. The easiest way to separate iron is by using a magnet. In the picture, there is U shaped magnet that will attract iron but will leave non-metal fragment.

Which picture show dissolving I think A
True, the picture A showing someone dissolving sugar and sand(solute) into water(solvent). Sugar will make a homogenous solution, but sand will only make colloid which was easily separated with water.

which picture shows evaporation I think D
True, in picture D the water evaporates leaving the salt. This was the techniques used for producing salt from seawater. Water can evaporate, changing its form from liquid into gas. In this case, the water as the solvent will be continuously reduced, make the salt concentration become higher until saturated and become precipitated. After all of the water evaporates, only the salt will remain.

Answer:

Figure A depicts dissolution, B and F depict straining. Figure C depicts the use of filter paper. Figure D shows the evaporation process. Figure E shows separation with the help of a magnet.

Explanation:

The techniques mentioned in the images are separation techniques.

Straining is the separation process in which the particles are separated on the basis of size with the help of a filter. The filter will set the cut-off value and the particles are separated.

In Figure B with the help of a strainer, the water from the spaghetti is removed. So figure B possesses straining.

In figure F the tea leaves are separated from the tea with a strainer. Thus Figure F also depicts the straining technique.

The use of filter paper is made to differentiate the particles of very small size. In figure C, filter paper is used to separate the solute in the solution.

The separation of iron is made with the use of a magnet. Magnet has the ability to attract iron towards it.

In figure E, iron nails are being separated with the help of a magnet.

Dissolving is the process of making two solutes miscible in a solution. In figure A, sugar was made to dissolve in water making a miscible solution. Sand is allowed to dissolve in water making an immiscible solution.

Evaporation is the process of converting liquid to vapor form.

Figure D posses the evaporation process in which water is evaporated in the form of vapor, leaving the salt behind.
