he bought 3 bags of pretzels, 3 bags of popcorn, 9 bags of chips. :)

z = 3
c = 3p

3p + p + 3 = 15
4p + 3 = 15
4p = 15 - 3
4p = 12
p = 12/4
p = 3.....he bought 3 bags of popcorn
