HELP!!!! What is -0.5 repeating as a fraction in simplest form?

a) x = - 0.5555. Multiply both sides by 100
b) 100x = - 55.55

Now subtract a) from b):

100x - x = - 55.55 + 0.55
99x = - 55
x = - 55/99 = - 0.55555..
