Cleopatra, born in 69 BC in Alexandria, Egypt, ruled Egypt from 51 BC until her death in 30 BC. Known for her intelligence, charisma, and political savvy, she had relationships with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, and was the mother of Ptolemy XV. Her alliance with Antony led to their defeat at the Battle of Actium.
