A sociologist would likely call this phenomenon as environmental racism. The environmental racism involves of having to point out injustice with mixed racial context in the environment. It could be seen from Josh’s actions and behavior as he views the environment differently and that he wants to move but he couldn't and he probably thinks that he is living in a place like that solely because he is from a poor part of the town.
