Respuesta :

George Whitefield and Jonathan Edwards were highly respected Christian leaders. They both led the Great Awakening and believed in the emotional appeal of conversion and salvation. They both had a reputation for being powerful preachers.

I found a site where you can read about how they are alike. I will attach the PDF below for you.
Hope this helps in any way :)

Answer:

George Whitefield (December 16, 1714 - September 30, 1770), minister of the Church of England, was a leading leader of the Methodist movement. He became well known for his enthusiastic preaching in the American colonies of the British Empire, standing out clearly as the main leader of the first evangelical movement in the new world, called First Great Awakening, a spontaneous succession of Protestant Christian "revivals" in the Anglo-American colonies. . Some historians have come to call it "the first modern celebrity" for its recognition among the popular classes.

Jonathan Edwards (October 5, 1703-22 March 1758) was a theologian, congregational pastor and missionary for Native Americans during the colonial era. He is known as one of the greatest and deepest Protestant theologians in the history of the United States. His work has a very broad scope, but is often associated with his defense of Calvinist theology and Puritan heritage.
