This stage happens in meiosis !, between prophase ! and metaphase !. The meiosis ! is the first stage in DNA replication starting from the parent cell. Upon cell division,it produces four daughter cells containing the DNA or their chromosomes. These tetrads allow recombination of the DNA to form new genes.
