Respuesta :

The correct answer is the atomic bomb.

Shortly after the Allied powers had success in defeating Germany in the European theatre, this group turned their attention to how to defeat Japan in the Pacific theatre. In this case, the Allied powers (specifically the United States) considered a land invasion first. This would be similar to the land invasion conducted in Normandy, France. This type of invasion was predicted to result in millions of casualties.

However, instead of having millions of casualties from both the Allied and Axis powers, the US government considered using the atomic bomb. This bomb would result in less casualties and a quicker close to World War II. This weapon completely changed the way the Allied powers thought about their strategy against Japan.

Atomic Bomb made Allied leaders worry about the cost of invading the Japanese mainland.

Further Explanations:

After overwhelming Germany in the “European Theatre,” the Allied group turned out their attention towards defeating Japan in the “Pacific Theatre”. They thought of a land invasion but later assumed that a terrestrial invasion could account for the loss of numerous soldiers along with monetary loss. It was estimated that the damage would be equivalent to the loss incurred during the Great Depression. So instead of having a terrestrial invasion, the US government thought of invading with atomic bomb. Two Atomic bombs were released in the city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Japan's naval forces went completely in disarray.  The bombings led to Japan's immediate submission as “Emperor Hirohito” ordered his “Supreme War Council” to agree on the terms of submission. The “Treaty of San Francisco” amidst the Japanese and the Allies formally finished the war. The bombs completely changed the end of the war and the strategies of the United Nation against Japan.
