1x+1y=-2
2x-3y=-9

x = -2 - y

substitute x = -2 - y into 2x-3y=-9
2x-3y=-9
2(-2 - y)-3y=-9
-4 - 2y - 3y = -9
-4 - 5y = - 9
5y =5
y = 1

x = -2 - y
x = -2 - 1
x = -3

answer (-3,1)
