From the title itself, "To an Athlete Dying Young" the prominent theme is all about death. Compare to other literary works that show death as an ugly and sad story, but in A.e. Housman's story, death portrayed as a new destination for someone a new home or even an adventure where someone can move to a new town than a dark abyss.
