= 2 × (13 × 12) + 2 × (13 × 11) + 2 × (12 × 11) =
= 2 × 156 + 2 × 143 + 2 × 132 = 312 + 286 + 264 = 862 in²

1 ft = 12 in   ⇒ 1 ft² = 144 in²

⇒ 862 in² = (862 : 144) ft² = 5.986 ft²
