you and your friend see kids playing on a seesaw. The two kids are balancing without their feet touching the ground. Your friend says there is no way that a mother and daughter could do the same thing. Use what you know about the different types of variation to figure out how a mother and child could balance.

The mother could lean forward to make the seesaw lean a little more tord   the child and the child could lean back to pull the seesaw a little bit tord her.

since the mother will weigh more she could move forward and when she does that it is taking some of her weight off when the child moves back the earths  
gravitational pulls the child down causing them both to be balanced
