We are given the following equation of a line:
[tex]y=3x+2[/tex]To graph a line we need two points on the line. We have that the following points are on the line:
[tex]\begin{gathered} (x,y)=(-2,-4) \\ (x,y)=(0,2) \end{gathered}[/tex]Now, we plot both points in the coordinate system, like this:
Now, we join both points using a line. The third point will be on the line too:
Thus we get the equation of the line. We can notice that we can pick any two points and we would get the same line.
