IHIL cer 5 Sam needs cup mashed bananas and cup mashed strawberries for a redpe. He wants to find whether S 6 he needs more bananas or more strawberries How an he write and as a pair of fractions with the smallest common denominator? Sam can write 금 5 and 6

The fraction for mashed banana is 7/8.

The fraction of cup for mashed strawberries is 5/6.

Multiply the fraction 7/8 by 3/3 to obtain the same deniminator.

[tex]\frac{7}{8}\cdot\frac{3}{3}=\frac{21}{24}[/tex]

Multiply the fraction 5/6 by 4/4 to obtain the same denominator as fraction 21/24.

[tex]\frac{5}{6}\cdot\frac{4}{4}=\frac{20}{24}[/tex]

So Sam can write 7/8 as 21/24 and 5/6 as 20/24.
