so, x + 2, x = - 2, replacing:

[tex]\begin{gathered} f(-2)=(-2)^3-6(-2)^2-11(-2)+k \\ 0=-8-24+22+k \\ k=8+24-22 \\ k=10 \end{gathered}[/tex]

the value of k, is 10
