What is the current?

We know that the electrical current is obtained by the use of the formula;

P = IV

P = power

V = voltage

I = current

I = P/V

I = 1500 W/110 V

I = 13.6 A

Now;

The power in kW = 1.5 kW hence the energy used in 1 hour is 1.5 kWhr

If the cost of 1 kWhr = $0.08

Then 1.5 kWhr costs =  1.5 kWhr  * $0.08/1 kWhr

= $0.12

To operate it all through the night = 8 * $0.12  = $0.96
