A blueprint of a building gives a scale of 1 in. = 8 ft. If the blueprint shows the building sitting on a rectangle with dimensions 26 in. x 35 in., what is the actual area of the rectangle on which the building sits?

so scale is 1 inch= 8 ft

so, 26 inches = 8×26 = 208 ft
and , 35 inches = 8×35 = 280 ft

so the actual area= 208×280 = 58240 sq ft !
