Pakistan. After Great Britain gave independence to the Indian subcontinent they seperated it into India and Pakistan. pakistan had two parts one to the west and one to the east of india. the one to the east is Modern day Bangladesh while the one to the west is Modern day Pakistan. So in short Bangladesh used to be a part of Pakistan until it separated from it.
