For the first one your first point is going to be on (0, -8) and will be a continuous horizontal line.

For the second equation the first point will be on (0, -12)

you want to go down two points and go to the right once point so (1, -14), (2,-16), (3,-18)

you also want to go up two points and to the left once so (-1, -10), (-2, -8), (-3, -6) and so on
