But a bird that stalks
down his narrow cage
can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and
his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.
The bird wants to be free, it can’t escape though so it sings longing for freedom and to fly the open sky’s. It indicates a tone of longing and sadness
