The erosion rate of a coastline is approximately 3 feet per year. if erosion continues at the current rate, how many years will it take for the shoreline to erode 15 feet to a grass line and then another 24 feet to a tree line? Explain.

yr x 3 = 3 per year

3 x 5 = 15 which is 5 years, adding 24 ft means, it would take 13 yrs.

3 x 8 = 24
