Answer: Valley Forge was an establishment set up by Washington during the winter of 1778. This camp consisted of the Continental army during the Revolutionary War. This camp was well known for the harsh weather conditions (cold, consistent snow fall, etc.). This event is studied because Washington did an excellent job of limiting the spread of disease amongst his troops along with being an exemplary leader who helped uplift the tired and poorly clothed Continental Army.
