Macaranga hypoleuca has adverse effect on the neighboring plants because this is a tree growing up to 30 meters tall and has a dense canopy. This tree grow higher as compared to neighboring plants so harvest more sunlight and do more photosynthesis.
While on the other hand, the neighboring plants can't get sunlight due to this plant so less photosynthesis occur and experience a stunted growth so we can say that this tree has negative effect on the neighboring plants.
