You currently have $80 in your bank account and you deposit $25 each month with no withdrawals.
Your friend currently has $170 in his bank account and he withdraws $20 each month with no deposits. After how many months will you and your friend have the same amount of money in your bank accounts? Show your equations.

Two equations:
80+25x and 170-20x

X= months

Equation 1: 80 + 25x Equation 2: 170 - 20x
1st month: 80 + 25(1) 170 - 20(1)
= 105 = 150

2nd month: 80 + 25(2) 170 - 20(2)
= 80 + 50 = 170 - 40
= 130 = 130

Therefore after 2 months you and your friend friend will both have $130 in your bank accounts.
