Clair collects seashells. At home, she has 15 shells. Every day she brings 3 back to the beach. After 5 days how many seashells will Clair have?

The equation would be:

y = 3x + 15

1) Table: It is pretty easy to do so, just plug in 0, 1, 2, 3, etc. for x and solve for y

2) graph (find slope): slope would be 3 shells/day that has a y-intercept of 15

3) you already defined the variables

4) 3(5)+15 = 15+15 = 30 seashells
