In one paragraph, write an informative passage about the topic you selected. In a second paragraph, describe a scene, character, or event in Little Women that might have, in the real world, intersected with your research. Think outside the box. Would Hannah have family members who were slaves? Would Mr. Laurence be involved with a particular business? What was it really like in an Army hospital? In what battles might Mr. March have fought?

Include a citation for your source and be sure to use your own words. Your response should be 75-100 words long.

Answer:

Meg, Jo, Amy, and Beth March grow up in Plumfield, where their family regularly struggles to make ends meet. When their dad gets sick, Jo sells her hair, so that her mom (Marmee) can go visit there dad. While Marmee is gone Beth gets scarlet fever and soon dies. Meg gets married, Jo moves to New York City, and Amy leaves home to live in Paris. Laurie, who was once in love with Jo, ends up marring Amy. Jo marries a man named Professor Baehr. I think Hannah would have family members who were slaves. In an army hospital, there are a lot of injured men, and its kind of like a tent.
