Let f(x)= ax^2+bx+c and g(x)= ax^2-bx+c. If f(1) = g(1)+2 and f(2)=2, find g(2).

Answer:

first lets calculate f(1)=g(1)+2

a+b+c=a-b+c+2 so b=1

next lets calculate f(2)=2 remembering that we found b=1

4a+2*1+c=2 so c=-4a

Now lets find g(2)

g(2)=4a-2b+c= -c-2+c=-2 this is the final response
