The Americans fought on home grounds which is a huge advantage
Also the British payed there army so they (the soldiers) weren't really in to it. While the Americans were fighting for independence and for freedom aka=the Americans had a reason to fight, and the British didn't.

  1. America won the war was because of a home-field advantage. It was harder for the British to move troops or supplies and to get reinforcements.
  2. The Patriots also got help from other countries such as France and Spain.
  3. Another reason was that the war was not popular in Britain because it costs too much money.
