The radios, telephones, electricity, and indoor plumbing of 1920 are evidence of the influence of technology on American life. It was consider the time of great advancement for technology from 1920 to 1940. A lot of advancement has been created during those years.

Advancements in the 1920s made life for Americans easier and the advancements came from the innovations of the industrial era.
These advancements helped to connect Americans living all over the country. Telephones relayed information quickly and over long distance. The radio (aided by electricity in the home) allowed leadership to communicate to citizens. The radio was also used for entertainment with programming bringing shows, news, and sports events into the homes of Americans. Indoor plumbing sanitized water systems and urban areas in particular. People could clean themselves and cook more easily with plumbing as well.
