(k-12 school) It says right in the study guide we were assigned: "Why is the work of George Catlin so important? He would record through books and paintings, information about the various tribes of the Native Americans in the US. He was a witness to the dances, ceremonies, children, and everyday life." So I'm not sure why people keep answering D. It's clearly C. Edit: I finished the quiz and I got 20/20, AKA an A. It may be different answers for different schools. I don't know.
