Gatsby begins to panic, and worry himself with time. Then, when Nick and Gatsby here Daisy's car in the drive, they both jump up quickly. Then, when Daisy knocks at the door, and enters Nick's home, Gatsby runs from the living room. Gatsby then, accidentally hits the clock and catches it with his fingers. I know he is nervous because of all these actions he's committing and by the trembling of his hands, and the way he speaks.
