The electron transport chain is the process that occurs both in photosynthesis and respiration and is involved in the production of ATP. However, the difference in both the processes are stated below:
1. The Electron transport chain in photosynthesis occurs in the beginning of the process. However in respiration, the process takes place at the end.
2. The primary acceptor of electron in photosynthesis is NADPH and in respiration is Oxygen.
3. In Electron transport chain of photosynthesis, the electrons move due to the energy of light while in respiration, the NADH lends the electrons to the ETC.
