The difference between terms is the previous term divided by 4:

48/4 = 12

12/4 =3

3/4 = 0.75

Find the next two terms:

0.75/4 = 0.1875

0.1875/4 = 0.046875

Now you have 48 - 12 + 3 - 0.75 + 0.1875 - 0.046875

Answer: 38.390625
