I'm not sure if this is with K12 and they want a specific answer, but just judging off what I can clearly see here they look like they're (somewhat angrily, as for the two on the left) splitting some food, or if its meant to be a doily, they could be playing the game where you stab between all your fingers with a knife and hope you don't accidentaly cut one off. I'm not sure what the technical name for this "game" is.
